Staying true to its mission of being a trailblazer in providing innovative consumer, commercial, and enterprise technology, global innovation leader Lenovo is launching its new ThinkBook lineup of laptops specifically designed to empower the modern and future workforce.

Built with today’s digitally driven workplace in mind, Lenovo developed the ThinkBook to help companies meet the needs of millennial and Gen Z workers, as well as the young working moms who expect both exceptional style and performance from their devices.

“Through the high performance and elegance of the ThinkBook, businesses will have an edge in attracting tech-savvy millennials and Gen Z workers who grew up working, creating, and communicating online with stylish and premium devices. Lenovo helps companies create a more productive workplace as the young employees, who are already competent in leveraging technology, can now work to their fullest knowing that their demands of flexibility, power, and aesthetics are fulfilled,” said Lenovo Philippines Country General Manager Michael Ngan.

Headlining the lineup in the Philippines is the ThinkBook 13S, which comes with a sleek, magnesium-infused aluminum finish, giving it a distinctive premium look. It has a 13.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS antiglare display with less than 5.55mm thin bezels, giving users a bigger screen to work on, and Dolby Vision high-dynamic-range technology, which provides increased brightness, expanded contrast, amazingly accurate color, and more refined detail to images.

Designed to endure the hardships of day-to-day operations, the ThinkBook was developed with some of the durability features found in the legendary ThinkPad line including protection from water spills, extreme temperature, and vibrations. Its zinc-alloy hinge has powdered-metal technology to endure 25,000 open-and-close cycles, and it’s coated with both indium and stannum (tin) to enhance resistance to corrosion.

There are two variants of the ThinkBook 13S available: one will be powered by AMD RADEON 540X graphics with Windows 10 Home OS and 2-Year Carry-in Warranty and is worth P54,990, while the other variant will come out with Integrated Intel UHD 620 on Unified Memory Architecture (UMA) graphics, Windows 10 Pro OS, and 1-Year Carry-in Warranty and is worth P58,990. Both will run on an 8th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB onboard memory, and 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD storage which enables instantaneous response from programs. For uninterrupted business, Lenovo equipped the device with a battery life of 11 hours and the Rapid Charge feature which fuels the battery up to 80% in just an hour of charging.

The ThinkBook 13S also comes with preloaded features helpful for businesses such as the Lenovo Vantage, which offers tools for preventive hardware diagnostics, personalized hardware settings, and auto-install of critical updates, and Lenovo Migration Assistant, a free application that helps users migrate all user files and settings when upgrading systems. It also has a 30-day trial of the entire Microsoft Office suite of productivity tools.

To protect users, Lenovo equipped the ThinkBook 13S with its new ThinkShield security suite that contains features such as the Smart Power On fingerprint recognition for device access, FIDO (Fast Identity Online) security for safer online authentication, and discrete Trusted Platform Module (dTPM 2.0) encryption capabilities that encrypt and store device user credentials on a separate chip for added security. For physical security, the ThinkBook 13S has a ThinkShutter webcam cover.

In addition, users of the ThinkBook 13S can enjoy business-grade support services such as Premium Support that provides direct access to skilled and experienced Lenovo technicians offering comprehensive hardware and software support. This also includes next business day onsite support, wherein Lenovo IT experts will personally troubleshoot any problems and provide further solutions on-premises. Furthermore, the device has Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) support that covers damages not usually part of standard warranties such as minor spills, drops, or damages to the screen.

The ThinkBook 13s will be available in Lenovo Exclusive Stores located at SM North EDSA, SM Mall of Asia, and SM Megamall, as well as Thinking Tools SM City Cebu. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is finally here!

Samsung Galaxy Note 10

One of the most anticipated smartphone releases this year has finally arrived! On August 23, early-bird customers of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus have already received their phones, and we’ve been hearing good things so far.

The phone has obviously improved on its key features, as well as added a few new tricks to make the overall user experience much better.

The S Pen stylus, which has been a distinct part of all Note devices, now supports air-gesture controls, similar to those first introduced on the Galaxy Tab S6. Some of these gestures are swipe-left and swipe-right, which allow you to scroll through photos. A twirling circular motion, on the other hand, lets you zoom in and out. Same with the Galaxy Note 9, you can also use the S Pen as a remote camera trigger and take a picture by simply pressing its button.

Design-wise, one of the biggest changes on the Note 10 and Note 10 Plus is the punch-hole selfie camera positioned in the top-middle of the screen. It houses a 10MP sensor with plenty of filters and effects to make attractive selfies. Both phones also have a curved Super AMOLED screen with an embedded fingerprint scanner. The Note 10 has a smaller 6.3-inch display compared with 6.8 inches on the Note 10 Plus.

At the back, the Note 10 has three cameras—main, ultra-wide, and portrait, while the Note 10 Plus has a TOF sensor added into the mix.

Inside, the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Plus are powered by the latest Exynos 9825 chipset built on a 7nm processor. It also has USB-C fast charging (up to 45 watts on the Galaxy Note 10 Plus), wireless charging (up to 20 watts), and wireless powershare for charging other devices from the back of the phone.

Available in white and black colors, the Galaxy Note The Galaxy Note 10 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at P53,990, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus is at P60,990 for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and P72,990 for 512GB storage.
